About this policy
Covent LLC (“Covent,” “we,” or “us”) runs two businesses, and this policy covers both:
Covent Homes. We buy houses for cash. To do that, we contact and hear from homeowners, real estate agents and brokers, wholesalers, investors, title companies, and others about properties. We may buy a house ourselves, or assign our purchase contract or resell the house to another buyer. Sections 4.6, 4.7, 5.1, and 5.2 explain how this works. Homeowners, Realtors, and wholesalers can open a seller account to send us houses and follow their offers (Section 1.6).
The Covent software. We provide software for real estate professionals (the “Service”), including property research, prospecting, communication, and deal-marketing tools.
This policy applies to our websites, including getcovent.com and coventhomes.com, to seller accounts, to chats with Sam and our other AI assistants, to the Service, and to the calls, text messages, emails, and mail we send and receive. Many of our messages and calls are written, sent, or answered by AI assistants. See Section 5.1.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information: Name, email address, company name, phone number, and other information you provide when creating an account or updating your profile.
Payment information: Card, bank account, and billing details are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment credentials on our servers.
Usage data: Information about how you use the Service, including searches performed, communications sent (SMS, calls, emails), features used, and interactions with the platform.
Property and contact data: When you use our prospecting tools, the Service accesses property records and contact information collected from public records (such as county assessor, recorder, deed, tax, and court records), other publicly available sources, and licensed third-party data providers. This data may include personal information about individuals who are not Covent users. See Sections 4.5 and 4.6 below.
Property and sale inquiries: When you ask Covent Homes for a cash offer or tell us about a property, we collect what you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, whether you are a homeowner, realtor, wholesaler, or someone else, the property address and details such as bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, and year built, your timeline, and anything else you share about the property, its occupants, its condition, or your price. If you start an offer and leave before finishing, we keep the address and any email address or phone number you entered so we can follow up.
Location: If you ask our offer form to find your home from where you are, your browser asks your permission and then shares your precise location with us once. We use it only to look up the house at that spot. Precise location is sensitive personal information under California law; we use it only for the lookup you asked for.
Communications with Covent Homes: The content and details of texts, iMessages, emails, calls, voicemails, and mail between you and us, including call audio, transcripts, and call summaries, and any photos, documents, or property access details (such as lockbox information) you send us.
Transaction information: If we make an offer or sign a contract, the offer and contract terms, the names and signatures of the parties, inspection reports and photos, earnest money details, and title and closing details.
Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and similar technical information collected automatically when you access the Service or our public website, including the pages you view and, for a sample of visits, a session recording (see Sections 3 and 9).
Compliance and verification materials: Documents and business information you provide for A2P registration, carrier vetting, or identity verification, including IRS EIN letters, extracted document fields, and related registration materials.
Authentication and account verification information: Phone numbers and related metadata used to send one-time passcodes, account verification codes, login alerts, and other account access notifications.
1.5 Lead magnet and free tool data
When you access our free tools and lead magnets (such as the Contract Builder, Creative Finance Analyzer, and other downloadable resources), we collect the following information:
Contact information: Name, email address, and phone number provided through our opt-in forms.
How we use this data: We use the information you provide to (a) deliver the requested free tool or resource, (b) send you the resource via email, and (c) send marketing communications if you have separately consented to receive them (e.g., by opting in to SMS updates).
Retention: Lead magnet submission data is retained for as long as you remain on our mailing list or have an active account. If you unsubscribe from all communications and do not have an active account, your lead magnet data is deleted within ninety (90) days of your unsubscribe request.
1.6 Seller accounts
Homeowners, Realtors, and wholesalers can open a seller account. Each account belongs to one person, holds that person’s profile, and records their role on each house they send us. If you open one, we collect:
- Your profile: your name, email address, phone number, and business details, such as your brokerage or company. Your profile is kept at the account level and used for every house you send us.
- Sign-in information: the email address we send your sign-in code to, and records of when and from what device you sign in. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, your email address (or an Apple relay address, if you choose to hide yours), and an account identifier. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
- Your role on each house: whether you are the owner, the owner’s Realtor, or a wholesaler for that house, and anything you give us to support it, such as a listing agreement or a purchase contract.
- Each house: its address and property facts, photos and videos, your answers in our offer flow, documents, visit requests, our estimates and offers, and your messages with us about it.
We use this to run your account, keep your houses and offers together, confirm your role on each house, and contact you about them. Section 6.1 explains how to delete your account.
1.7 Chats on our website
When you chat with Sam on our website, we receive and keep what you type, the house you ask about, any contact details you share, and technical details of the chat, and we keep the conversation with our records of that house. We set a cookie (“covent_sam_chat”) that keeps your conversation together on that browser. If you leave a phone number or email address, we may follow up as Section 5.2 describes.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) process transactions and send related information; (c) send service-related communications, including one-time passcodes, account verification codes, login alerts, account notifications, and security alerts; (d) respond to your requests and support inquiries; (e) monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service; (f) enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud or abuse; (g) complete business verification, A2P registration, and related compliance workflows; (h) generate or host registration-related materials such as policy pages or business identity pages; (i) comply with legal obligations; (j) evaluate properties, make and negotiate offers to buy them, prepare and sign contracts, arrange inspections, and coordinate closings; (k) contact homeowners, agents, brokers, wholesalers, and investors about properties, as described in Section 4.6; (l) find buyers, assignees, or capital partners for properties we have under contract; (m) keep records of consent, opt-out, and do-not-contact requests and honor them; and (n) run seller accounts, sign you in, confirm your role on each house, and show you your houses, estimates, and offers.
For the Service and our free tools, we do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing communications unless you have opted in to receive them. Covent Homes contacts some real estate professionals who have not contacted us first. Section 4.6 explains who we contact and how, and Section 5.2 explains how to make it stop.
3. Data sharing and third-party services
We share your information with the following categories of service providers:
Payment processing: Stripe processes your payment information. Their privacy policy governs their use of your data.
Communications infrastructure: Twilio, our customer relationship management (CRM) and messaging provider (GoHighLevel, also called LeadConnector), Photon for iMessage, Google Workspace for email, Resend for website form notifications, and related providers carry our texts, iMessages, calls, and emails. Message content and metadata are processed through their systems.
Registration and vetting providers: When you use SMS registration or related compliance features, we may share business information, uploaded verification documents, extracted document data, and generated registration materials with Twilio, The Campaign Registry, mobile carriers, vetting providers, and related service providers to complete, support, or maintain your registration.
Cloud infrastructure: We use cloud hosting providers to store and process data.
AI and automated processing: The Service and Covent Homes use third-party artificial intelligence services to write and read messages, answer and place calls, transcribe and summarize calls and recordings, analyze property data and documents, and provide automated assistance. These include models developed by companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, and Z.ai. We reach them through an AI gateway (Vercel), and they may run on independent hosting providers (for example, DeepInfra or Cerebras). ElevenLabs transcribes live call audio and produces our assistants’ voices. When these features are used, inputs such as message content, call audio, property data, and documents are sent to these providers to produce a response. We set most model requests to go only to hosts that have agreed not to keep the data; a few tasks, such as transcribing some call recordings, use a model that does not offer that commitment. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
Product analytics and performance tools: We use analytics and performance tools, such as Mixpanel, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights, to understand how the Service is used, measure page performance, and improve the user experience. Mixpanel also runs on our public website, including the Covent Homes pages, where it records page views and sets a cookie.
Error monitoring and session replay: We use analytics and error monitoring tools, such as Mixpanel and Sentry, to diagnose crashes, understand product interactions, and troubleshoot technical issues. Error reports include the page address (with private links removed), your browser, screen size, and the steps that led to the error. Sentry records about 5% of visits, and every visit in which an error happens, as a session replay of clicks, page navigation, viewport details, and related technical context; Mixpanel records a smaller sample on some public pages. All text and form values are masked in Sentry replays, form values are masked in Mixpanel replays, and password and payment-entry areas are excluded. If you opt out of analytics or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we don’t record your visits; error reports still reach us so we can keep the site working.
In-app support and feedback: We use support and feedback tools, such as Gleap, to provide in-app support and, on some public pages, a feedback widget, to collect feedback, and to troubleshoot issues. These tools may receive account and contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, company, avatar, and related support context.
Maps, media, and sign-in on our website: Mapbox draws the maps on some of our product pages and receives the area being shown and your device’s technical details. Cloudinary hosts our photos and videos. Google provides the “Sign in with Google” button on our pricing page, and Google and Apple provide sign-in for seller accounts. Each receives your IP address and browser details when it loads.
Data and verification providers: We send names, addresses, and phone numbers to property data, skip-tracing, phone-number lookup, and litigator-screening providers to find or confirm contact information and to screen phone numbers before outreach.
Team collaboration and e-signature: We use Slack to coordinate our team’s work, including in channels shared with outside partners who help us evaluate properties, and e-signature providers, such as DocuSeal, to prepare and sign contracts. Property, deal, and conversation details, including summaries of messages and calls, are posted in these tools.
Home-buying transactions: Section 4.7 describes what we share with title companies, inspectors, buyers, assignees, capital partners, and partner agents.
Interactive maps: We use map providers, such as Mapbox, to display maps and map-based property information. Map providers may receive map request data, location-related map context, device information, and similar technical information when map features load.
Push notifications: We use push notification providers, such as OneSignal, to deliver notifications you enable. These providers may receive user identifiers, subscription identifiers, device information, and notification delivery metadata.
Media and document hosting: We use media and document hosting providers, such as Cloudinary, to upload, store, transform, and deliver listing photos, videos, documents, and related media files.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws treat other disclosures as a “sale”; Section 8 explains how that applies to our Partner Agents program and how to opt out. We do not sell, rent, or share the phone number you give us when you opt in to our texts, or when you text or call us, or your text-message opt-in or opt-out status, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
3.5 Google API Services User Data Policy
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storefront listing pages may also load Google Maps or Street View embeds to display a property location. When those embeds load, the property location and related technical request information may be transmitted to Google.
4. Cold outreach and prospecting data
This section covers prospecting data and communications that customers use in the Service. Covent Homes’ own outreach, for which Covent is the sender, is described in Sections 4.6, 4.7, 5.1, and 5.2.
The Service provides access to property records and contact information sourced from public records databases and licensed third-party data providers. This data is provided “as-is” and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency.
Contact information may be inferred, enriched, skip traced, appended, matched, or updated using automated systems and third-party data sources. These processes can produce incorrect, outdated, incomplete, or mismatched results, including phone numbers or email addresses that no longer belong to the listed person.
You are responsible for: (a) verifying the accuracy of data before using it for outreach; (b) ensuring you have the legal right to contact any individual; (c) complying with all applicable privacy and telemarketing laws; (d) maintaining appropriate records of your data usage and communications.
When you upload, import, sync, or otherwise provide contact data to the Service, you are responsible for the source, accuracy, permissions, consent status, opt-out status, and lawful use of that data. We process that data to provide the Service at your direction.
When customers use communication features, they decide who is contacted, what is sent, and when communications are sent. Covent processes communication data as a technology provider acting on customer instructions, not as the independent sender of customer campaigns.
Not a consumer reporting agency: Covent is not a consumer reporting agency, and information available through the Service may not be used to evaluate any person’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
4.5 Individuals who are not Covent users
The Service includes personal information about individuals who do not have a Covent account and with whom we have no direct relationship, such as property owners, prospective buyers and investors, and other business contacts (“non-user data subjects”).
Categories of information: Depending on the source, this may include identifiers (name, mailing address, phone number, email address), property ownership and transaction records, mortgage and lien information, business and professional information (such as entity affiliations and investment activity), and inferences derived from that information (such as likely purchase criteria).
Sources: We collect this information from public government records (county assessor, recorder, deed, tax, and court records), other publicly available sources, licensed third-party data providers, skip-tracing and contact-append providers, listing data providers, professional directories, and data our customers upload or import.
Purposes and disclosure: We process this information to provide property research, prospecting, deal-marketing, and buyer-matching tools to our customers. It is made available to customers for their own business use, subject to our Terms of Service. Customers are independently responsible for how they use this information, including their own compliance with privacy and telemarketing laws when they choose to contact anyone. We also use this information for our own home-buying business, as described in Sections 4.6 and 4.7.
Your choices if you are a non-user data subject: If your information appears in the Service, you may contact us at sellers@coventhomes.com for Covent Homes or help@getcovent.com for the Covent software to: (a) request disclosure of the personal information we maintain about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your information; (d) opt out of your information being made available to our customers, in which case we will suppress your records from our prospecting datasets going forward; or (e) ask Covent Homes to stop contacting you and to leave you off the owner lists we give partner agents. We honor these requests as required by applicable state privacy laws, and the rights described in Section 8 apply to non-user data subjects as well as account holders.
Information lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records, or that is otherwise “publicly available” as defined by applicable state privacy laws, may be exempt from some of these rights. Where an exemption applies, we will still review suppression requests in good faith.
4.6 Covent Homes: who we contact and where we get information
Who we contact. Covent Homes contacts: (a) real estate agents and brokers about properties they list, about other properties their clients may want to sell, and about our referral and partner programs; (b) wholesalers and investors about properties they control or may want to sell or buy; (c) homeowners who contact us, ask us for an offer, or reply to our mail; and (d) people involved in a sale, such as co-owners, heirs or estate representatives, title companies, closing attorneys, and inspectors.
How we contact people. We use text messages (SMS, MMS, and iMessage), phone calls, email, and postal mail. Many of these messages are written and sent by AI assistants (see Section 5.1).
Homeowners. We mail letters and postcards to homeowners using public property records. We do not currently text a homeowner who has not first contacted us or given us permission to text them. If you contact us after receiving our mail, we may use our records to find the property the mail was about.
Real estate professionals. We may text, email, or call real estate agents, brokers, and wholesalers who have not contacted us first. We use the phone number and email address published with a property listing or in a professional directory, and that number may be a mobile phone. We call a real estate professional with an AI voice only if they have asked us to call.
Where we get information. Besides what you give us, we get information from: (a) property listing data, which may come from multiple listing services (MLS), through listing data providers and real estate websites; (b) public records, such as assessor, recorder, deed, tax, code-enforcement, and court records, including probate, foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorce, and eviction filings, often through property data providers; (c) skip-tracing and contact-append providers that match names and addresses to phone numbers and email addresses; (d) phone-number lookup services that tell us whether a number is a mobile line or a landline; (e) professional directories; (f) people who refer a property or a person to us; and (g) our own records of past conversations.
What we infer. We use this information to estimate a property’s value, repair needs, and resale potential; how long the owner has owned it and how much equity they may have; and how likely the owner may be to sell. Some of these estimates rely on information about the owner’s circumstances that appears in public records (such as a probate or foreclosure filing) or that data providers supply (such as an estimated age). We do not use this information to decide anyone’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing.
5. SMS, calling, and communication data
This section covers the communication features customers use in the Service. Sections 5.1 and 5.2 cover Covent Homes’ own calls and texts.
When you use the Service’s communication features:
Transactional and security SMS: We may use your phone number to send transactional and security-related text messages, including one-time passcodes, account verification codes, login alerts, and other account access notifications. These messages are sent when you provide your phone number and request or consent to receive messages through the Service.
SMS messages: Message content and delivery status are logged for your compliance records. Logs are retained per applicable regulatory requirements.
Voice calls: Call metadata (duration, time, participants) is logged. If you enable call recording, recordings are stored and accessible through your account. You are responsible for disclosing call recording to participants as required by applicable state and federal law.
Email: Email content and delivery metrics are logged for your records.
Communication logs are retained for a minimum of five (5) years to support TCPA compliance record-keeping requirements.
Message frequency and rates: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and preferences. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out and support: You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact help@getcovent.com.
Carrier disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.1 AI assistants, calls, and call recording
AI assistants. Covent Homes uses AI assistants that write, send, and answer texts and emails, and that answer and place phone calls with an AI-generated voice. They use assistant names, such as Sam (buying houses), Nora (contracts and closings), and Alex (buyers). Many messages, and some offers and contracts, are prepared and sent automatically under rules our team sets, without a person reviewing each one first. If you ask whether you are talking to an AI, the assistant will tell you that it is.
Calls. An AI assistant answers calls to our lines. We place AI-voice calls only to people who have asked us to call them. We may transfer a call to a member of our team.
Recording and transcription. Calls with Covent Homes are transcribed, and some are recorded, including calls transferred to our team and calls on our customer relationship management (CRM) provider’s lines. Call audio is processed as you speak by speech-recognition and voice providers and by AI models (see Section 3). We keep transcripts, call summaries, and recordings with our records of the property. If you do not want a call recorded or transcribed, you can text or email us instead.
5.2 Covent Homes texts, consent, and how to stop them
What we send. Texts about properties you list, own, or control; offers, contracts, inspections, and closings; and follow-ups and check-ins about other properties that may fit what we buy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent. When you give us your phone number on our cash offer form, we tell you that we may call, text, or email you about that house. You do not have to accept texts to get an offer. Tell us you prefer email and we will use email.
How to stop. Reply STOP to any text. You can also tell us to stop in your own words, by text, by email, or on a call, or use the “Stop contacting me” request on our privacy choices page. We act on a stop request promptly, and no later than ten (10) business days after we receive it. A stop request covers all calls and texts from Covent Homes, not only the number or channel you used.
Do-not-contact records. We keep a record of each stop request and check it before we text, call, or email, so we do not contact you again after you opt out, even from a different phone number.
Help. Reply HELP to any text, or email sellers@coventhomes.com.
Carrier disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.3 Text messaging privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, text-message consent, or text opt-in and opt-out status with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are shared only with the service providers that carry our messages for us (Section 3) and as the law requires.
6. Data retention
Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.
After termination: Upon account termination, your data is retained for ninety (90) days to allow for reactivation or data export. After this period, data is permanently deleted.
Communication logs: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years per regulatory requirements.
Covent Homes records: We keep records of properties, offers, contracts, and closings, and the messages, call transcripts, call summaries, and recordings about them, for as long as we need them for the property or transaction and for legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations. Communication logs are kept for at least five (5) years.
Offer inquiries: What you send through our offer form, including an offer you start and don’t finish, is kept with our Covent Homes records above. A location you share to find your home is used for that lookup.
Analytics and session replays: Kept for the period set in our analytics and error-monitoring providers’ accounts, then deleted by them.
Opt-out records: We keep stop and do-not-contact requests for as long as we might otherwise contact you, so that we keep honoring them.
Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial reporting obligations.
Property and prospecting data: Property records and contact information described in Section 4.5 are retained and refreshed for as long as they remain current and relevant to providing the Service. Records suppressed at a data subject’s request are added to a suppression list, which we retain so that suppressed records are not re-added from new data sources.
Aggregated data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you for analytical purposes indefinitely.
Retention criteria: For each category of personal information described in Section 1, we determine the retention period based on: (a) how long the information is needed to provide the Service and operate your account; (b) legal, regulatory, tax, and record-keeping obligations; and (c) whether retention is needed to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect against fraud and abuse.
6.1 Seller accounts and deleting your account
We keep your seller account, profile, and sign-in records while your account is open.
You can ask us to delete your seller account at any time by emailing sellers@coventhomes.com or using the “Delete my information” request on our privacy choices page. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the account.
When we delete an account, we delete your profile and sign-in records and stop using your information for the account. We keep what we must: records of a house we bought, are under contract on, or are in a dispute about; offers and contracts; stop and do-not-contact requests; and anything the law requires, for the periods in Section 6. [COUNSEL: how many days after a request we complete account deletion.]
Deleting your account does not cancel a signed purchase agreement or recall information we already shared with a closing party for a pending sale.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), access controls and authentication, regular security assessments, and employee access restrictions.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights (CCPA, CPRA, and state privacy laws)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing: We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Some state laws treat giving personal information to another business for something of value other than money as a “sale.” The owner lists we give partner agents (Section 4.7) may be treated as a sale under those laws, and we honor opt-out requests for them. To opt out, use our Do not sell or share my personal information page, which opens that request on our privacy choices page (linked as “Your privacy choices” in our footer), or email sellers@coventhomes.com. [COUNSEL: confirm whether Covent sells or shares personal information under the CPRA and other state laws, including through the partner agent owner lists, and so whether a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link is required.]
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: You may direct us to limit our use and disclosure of any sensitive personal information we have collected.
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Universal opt-out signals (Global Privacy Control / “Do Not Sell or Share”): We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal and any other universal opt-out mechanism recognized by California or other applicable state privacy law. When we detect a recognized signal, we treat your visit as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and we apply this preference automatically without requiring further action from you.
California residents, no commercial-context exemption: If you are a California resident, you have these rights regardless of whether you are interacting with us in a personal capacity or a business capacity. The California business-to-business exemption expired on January 1, 2023, and we do not rely on it.
Submitting requests and verification: To exercise these rights, contact us at sellers@coventhomes.com for Covent Homes or help@getcovent.com for the Covent software. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide against the information we maintain, and we may request additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm your identity. Information provided for verification is used only for that purpose. We will respond to verifiable requests within forty-five (45) days, and may extend that period once by an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you.
Authorized agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of your written authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.
Appeals: If we decline to act on your request, we will explain why. You may appeal our decision by replying to our response or by emailing sellers@coventhomes.com for Covent Homes or help@getcovent.com for the Covent software, with the subject line “Privacy appeal” within a reasonable time after receiving it. We will respond to appeals within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally forty-five (45) to sixty (60) days). If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general or other supervisory authority to submit a complaint.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Texas (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act), Tennessee (Tennessee Information Protection Act), Indiana (Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Maryland, Rhode Island, and Kentucky, may have similar rights, including the rights to access, correct, delete, get a portable copy of, and opt out described above, and the right to appeal. Florida residents may have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights where it applies. Contact us to submit a request. [COUNSEL: confirm which state laws apply to Covent, including Florida’s, given each law’s thresholds.]
We honor these requests from residents of every state where we buy houses, whether or not their state’s law requires it.
10. Children's privacy
Our websites, seller accounts, and the Service are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
Seller accounts are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
11. Fair Credit Reporting Act
Covent is not a consumer reporting agency and may not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
We do not use the information we collect to decide anyone’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing. Section 15.2 of our Terms of service forbids customers of the Service from using data for those purposes.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the Service or your seller account at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of our websites, a seller account, or the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using them.
13. International users
This service is operated in and intended for users in the United States, and the property and contact data available through the Service relates to United States properties. If you access the service from outside the US, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. The Service is not directed to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and we do not target or knowingly offer the Service to residents of those regions.
14. Contact
